ECDC has launched a call for experts to join a new Scientific Expert Panel (SEP) to support the development of an EU/EEA technical guidance on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccination to protect adults.

This initiative reflects the growing importance of RSV vaccination as new vaccines become available for adult populations, particularly older adults who are at higher risk of severe RSV disease. The Scientific Expert Panel will provide technical expertise to guide EU/EEA member states on optimal RSV vaccination strategies for adults.
