Level 2 - Practice Enhanced Precautions: Travelers to Colombia should:
- Get vaccinated against yellow fever at least 10 days before travel (yellow fever vaccine is required for entry to certain areas)
- Prevent mosquito bites by using EPA-registered insect repellents
- Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants
- Stay in places with window and door screens or air conditioning
- Be aware that yellow fever can be severe or fatal, causing fever, jaundice, bleeding, and organ failure
